December 10, 200817 yr For me, this would be an obvious yes. Take the player in the premium position, who does not have an injury history, who has both power and speed and the age advantage. Of course, there is no reason or chance that this trade will and would take place, I was just curious to see how attached some Soxtalkers are to CQ.

December 10, 200817 yr Idk how I would feel if this were to actually happen. TCQ is God, but Hanley is amazing. Hanley also plays a (in my book) more premier position. It seems like an OF is a lot easier to come by then a SS.

December 10, 200817 yr The one thing that makes me hesitate is the fact that Ramirez is actually going to be slightly more expensive than TCQ because he got the jump on him in MLB service time. Starting next year he'll average $11.7 mil a year for the next 6 years, which actually makes him the 4th most expensive SS in baseball. It's affordable for a player of his caliber, but Quentin on the other hand is still pre-arb.
