From mlbtraderumors: Sox and Reds-Dye for Bailey + Stubbs talks heating up

McAlister's source says the White Sox re-initiated talks to send Jermaine Dye to the Reds for Homer Bailey and another player; sources say its believed to be Drew Stubbs. Ken Rosenthal says Dye's no-trade clause mostly covers teams in the northeast. Perhaps the Sox can trade him to the Reds without his consent. Ken Williams and Walt Jocketty matched up in July on the Ken Griffey Jr. trade. It's known that Jocketty prefers trades to free agency.

 

Wow... Looks like from that article that the Dye to Reds rumor is really heating up again. Or Thome is gonna be DL'd for a bit from which I've heard from a couple articles (Supposedly, the sox think Thome's back issue is worse than originally thought, lemme see if I can find that article again.)

 

Sheff-Wise/BA-Quentin it's looking like or Sheff at DH to start the season... or they must like Stubbs enough, who is a plus defender, at CF leading off.....

Ha, I'm not participating in this stupid 'holiday.' It would be nice if someone executed a believable one though. The shock value on this is good, but so unbelievable. Something like Joe Mauer is out for the season would have been beautiful. He has an injury with somewhat unknown severity. Most Sox fans would go nuts over it.
