That is a wasted inning dam the strikeouts with RISP! :gosoxretro:

Gavin's lost his release point...shades of that Detroit start now.

Pitches out of it with the curve. That's the only thing that seems to be working for him tonight.

Good job by Gavin getting the big out. Still in this game.

He might have the best curve of anyone in the majors tonight.

5 scoreless innings for Greinke so far tonight.

Didn't see Brian's atbat, but from what I read his double was opposite field? He seems to be a bit more comfortable (finally).

Detroit scored one.

No earned runs anyway.

double that hit the yellow on the RF wall.

And Brian promptly turns a ball that possibly could have been caught into a single into a double.

I'm out of here, good luck Sox, I need a drink.

The ball just jumps off his bat. If he could ever find a way to get the bat on the ball more efficiently, he could easily hit 25 homers a year.

Scott Rolen comes to the plate, and promptly jumps on a fastball. He can't hit the curveball, keep pumping fastballs in.

Then Anderson boots it, then a ball to the screen and Rolen is on 3rd. I guess should give up.

Wouldn't worry too much about that, he was going to steal third anyway.

AJP is the worst defensive catcher in baseball, and it's not even close.

It's two of the worst performances by a Sox team in a long time. Gettting dominated by terrible starting pitchers is embarassing with our lineup being completely healthy.

Hey kalapse...if you read this, is there a site that has stats about what the batting average is against certain pitches thrown by a particular pitcher?

5-0 on the wild pitch. Booing has started

awful. just awful.

Well, I'm watching now, hopefully my boy Egbert shuts em down.

The O has their work cut out for them for the next 5 games.

Tomorrow a guy we haven't faced.

Roy on Sunday

Another guy we never faced

King Felix

Bedard

And Egbert throws the DP ball, and it gets screwed up at second. Rains/pours.

One more, Jack.
