Yeah, I'm looking at the Bowflex set as well as the Powerblock set.

Think I may start out with the bands first to make sure I like the program, then go with the adj dumbbells down the road if I stick with the program.

the bands should be ok to start, the body weight exercises is what gets you.

Went to Dick's yesterday and got all my stuff. Ended up getting a yoga mat, some resistance bands, the pull-up bar, and a set of perfect pushups.

Rock, do you really have to have a chair?

I don't really have normal chairs in my condo...

Yeah, for chair dips and help on your chin ups. You wont be able to do the entire back workouts without a chair.

Yes, after the resistance exercises. Its f***ing hell and I want to punch that black guy in the face everytime I do it.

Ugh, I just did the plyometrics. Made the Back & Shoulders routine seem like child's play, and I couldn't even get through the whole thing.

If you want to know just how out of shape you are, people, do this plyometrics routine. Wow.

Keep it up, take a small break if you need to, after the third set it gets easier, the bonus is basically a cool down. My favorite workout when its done, but in the middle I want to kill someone.

I'm the same way - in sets 3 and 4 i literally want to die, but when i get to the bonus/cool-down i feel so wastedly good. haha

actually though, i've been told to only do about half of each cardio workout since i'm trying to actually ADD bulk, and the cardio makes that a heckuva lot harder.

When Tony pauses for a second and he is huffing puffing and laughing, I am usually about to die.

Ok, did Shoulders & Arms today. So far this has been the easiest of the workouts. But still, now I think EVERY muscle in my body is sore.

I'm holding off on the ab ripper until I feel like I am in good enough shape to actually accomplish something. Right now I am so tired after the main workouts that the ab ripper would be me basically flopping around on the ground...

Bands or freeweights? With the Bands I always felt like this was my off day. As soon as I upgraded to weights, this day became quite a bit harder.

Bands. I don't own any dumbbells yet. Probably going to upgrade in a few months to those.

Did part of the yoga today. Pretty cool stuff.

How much did you make it through? Yoga sucks, I usually do about 45 min before I get sick of it.

Once you start thinking the resistance exercises are too easy then you should upgrade. My shoulders and arms last night was brutal, but thats because I am doing static arm curls with 20-25 lbs after blasting my arms for sets beforehand.

I did about 35 minutes of yoga, would have done more, but I had to head into work for a staff meeting.

I was actually enjoying it, but mostly because I have been very sore this week since starting the program, and stretching out my muscles was feeling really good.

Definitely going to upgrade to the weights in a few months. Right now, I think the bands are plenty good enough.

Today is Legs & Back. I'm a bit concerned, considering my legs are still trashed from Plyo three days ago!

Legs and back are my least favorite. Wait until you cant get out of bed tomorrow morning because your legs are locked up. Awesome

Soon as you hit speed skaters you'll want to die. Thats why you basically get the weekend off. Kempo is nothing.

Oh s***, those speed skaters were killers!

But this stuff is getting easier for me now...at least I am not wanting to stop the thing and puke now. Workouts are still hard, and granted, I am sort of doing the junior version because I am using bands, but I am coming along just as I'd hoped I would. And I am already seeing some results...fitting into some clothes better already, and feeling better and stronger than I have in at least a year or so (when I stopped doing my cardio workouts).

Nice, keep pushing play. Did you take before pictures? You'll be surprised how much difference the first 30 days makes.

I did. Took a few. Maybe I'll post my progress as I go. We'll see...I'm not much into vanity.

Finished Kenpo today. Not as easy as I thought it would be, but not brutal either. I actually found it fairly enjoyable. Tried ab ripper for the first time after Kenpo. Still pretty brutal for me. Could only get through the freaking phifer scissors before I was just wasted. Am too retarded to do reverse bicycles for some reason too...

Anyways, I took a few pictures afterwards, since I basically finished week 1 today. Going to keep a "pictorial journal" or whatever of my progress as I go. Will post if people would like, but I am not going to plaster then up here without being solicited because I don't want to make anyone's breakfast come up in the morning. But if anyone is interested in seeing if they really do work, especially on a guy that spends a lot of time sitting at a computer every day (and you guys know I do), I will post them.

Did Cardio X on my off day today.

I am totally hooked, and the Cardio program is pretty tame by P90X standards, so I think I'll make a habit of this, if time permits.

Awesome, can't wait to get myself the P90X

I have a digital copy I got for free from a co-worker. I love it so much I ordered the real deal from beachbody.com. I felt that for something that I am this pumped about, the developers deserve my money for it.

It's a great program.
