If Josh can still play left field, you gotta bring up Beckham for third. Pods is just horrible.

Are you kidding..I'm worried we'll give Pods a contract extension.

Good lord Alexei, it's like the idea of throwing him a breaking ball with 2 strikes was unfathomable to him. Although that s*** Meche threw him was filthy.

When you take away 1 game and a player's numbers drop from meh/bad to horrendous it means he's giving you very little consistency.

Well it also shows how small the sample size is. People, Pods didn't magically find talent in the minors. He wasn't that good in 2005, he was bad in 2006, and he's bad in 2009.

Another terrific at bat by Podsednik. Just because he stopped striking out doesn't mean he's giving you good at bats, it just means he's being more aggressive early in counts. This last PA was a perfect example of just that.

...and nor far behind is trading for Juan Pierre.

Needless to say if Pods played the whole year for the Sox, we'd have the winner of most outs made in baseball in consecutive seasons.

Even with the small sample size it shouldn't drop like that. That's what happens when you reach base 6 times after not getting on anymore than 2 times in any other game this season. If it were May 24th and you took away his best game of the year his number wouldn't take much of a hit.

It will be interesting to see who KW goes after, Pierre or Chone.

We could have had him for a bag of balls prior to Manny's injury. Now, he is indispensable for them until Manny returns.

Getz has awesome range to his left.

Wow, that was nearly a beautiful play by Getz, but missed him by about a half step.

and I still have no interest in him.

Give him 20 more games...he'll be batting around .300 in no time.

On the positive side, Buehrle has the most innings pitched of any MLB since the start of the 2001 season.

He's also the only MLB pitcher to have 10+ wins, 30+ starts and 200+ IP in the last eight seasons.

By the way, Mark Teahen owns Buerhle.

PS: As usual, leaving the runner at 3rd base absolutely destroys any momentum for your team...seems like the other team always scores or takes control of the game after that happens.

s***.

We're back! f*** you Gil Meche, and f*** you Willie Bloomquist

Positioning has killed the Sox so far today. This has been extremely disappointing so far, as this Kansas City lineup is AWFUL

why do we keep pitching to butler inside?

we're going to pound meche - he'll be gone by the 5th.

Butler is far from a home run hitter, but he's already hit 2 in his career against Mark.

Although everyone (Hawk included) is patiently waiting for a 20+ HR season.

Come on offense. You score 11 runs yesterday, but can't hit Gil f***ing Meche?

Bad read by Maier. Sun might have got him. JD with a triple.

I LOVE Jermaine Dye with a bat in his hands, he's a treat to watch.

Nice job Jim. 2-1 KC.

Ugh, how was that not a homer for Thome.
