Beckham is 0-2, but has hit the ball hard twice. First AB--hit a liner to Zach Jackson. The ball deflected and was caught by the first baseman. His 2nd Ab--he hit a hard shot to 3B, and Marte made the error.

Omogrosso is all over the place.

 

Gave up 6 runs on 4 hits and 3 walks in the 1st inning. 39 pitches. 18 strikes. 21 balls.

Barons just put up a 5 spot to tie it up in the 9th. Grand Slam for John Shelby. Still batting 1 out.

Wellll.... lookie here... John Shelby warming up... goes 4-5 tonight with a game-tying GRAND SLAM in the 9th inning.

Prior to Gamel, LaPorta, Escobar, and Salome being promoted/traded Huntsville was an elite team. They're still very good. Luckily, the Barons are better.

I love what Dayan is doing lately. We are clearly seeing improvement. He hit .234 in April and hit .297 in May. 4-10 so far in June. Next up we need to see power and/or patience because he hasn't showed much of either.

I forgot how fun it was to have real, top-tier prospects to follow every day...sometimes (admittedly not that often) I even find myself looking at the Charlotte or B-ham box score before I see what the Sox have done.

Has anyone seen Contreras pitch lately? Is he throwing over the top more or still just slinging it?

From what I have seen of him, I dont think his swing will translate to the majors.
