August 21, 200916 yr Did anyone go to the US Hockey camp in Woodridge this past week? I live in a building in the same complex and there were people waiting in line outside the ice rink at 7am for 9am practice. Just wondering how it was.
August 26, 200916 yr http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=4422520 Reinsdorf pulls his bid. Some bid from the NHL is now on the table for the Coyotes. You know, I don't know why they just don't allow Ballsillie to purchase the team. It is by far the best offer, and Hamilton is leaps and bounds a better city than Phoenix. That team should never have been moved from Winnipeg. I really wish some group from Hartford would jump in and make a bid.

Either Glendale needs to renogtiate that contract, or the team needs to move to somewhere it can be financially viable.
August 27, 200916 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 26, 2009 -> 11:37 AM) One of two things has to happen. Either Glendale needs to renogtiate that contract, or the team needs to move to somewhere it can be financially viable. Hmmmmmmmmm, maybe Winnipeg? The Jets should never have been moved. The NHL is now paying for the overreaction to Canadian economics in the 90s and their eagerness to expand to areas that don't support hockey. (Oddly enough, Nashville enjoys the game, but that's because the Preds successfully marketed it as a fight-first/hockey 2nd game for the first few years to draw those hillbillies in!!) August 28, 200916 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 28, 2009 -> 01:05 PM) So Kaner pleads guilty to a misdemeanor, and gets a year of probation. ...and hopefully this story goes away.
August 28, 200916 yr QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 28, 2009 -> 02:02 PM) ...and hopefully this story goes away. As long as there isn't a civil suit filed, it should.
September 11, 200916 yr Wow, San Jose just became really really sick. ESPN.com is reporting that the Ottawa Senators have traded Dany Heatley to San Jose in a three team deal. The Sharks will send Patrick Marleau to the Los Angeles Kings and the Kings will send Jarret Stoll and Alexander Frolov to Ottawa in the reported deal. The General Managers for all three teams have denied the report. Edited September 11, 200916 yr by Steve9347
September 22, 200916 yr QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 11:06 AM) Adam Burrish is probably out for the year after having knee surgery today. Whoa. Hadnt heard anything about that. Did he just get hurt or is it from an old recurring injury??
September 22, 200916 yr Phil Kessel traded to Toronto for their #1 and #2 picks in the 2010 draft and their #1 in the 2011 draft. Kessel then signed a 5-year, $27 million deal with the Leafs. 21 years old, 36 goals last season, but with a much better team. I'm sure he'll score for them, but scoring wasn't really their problem last year. They were 10th in the league in goals for, but dead last in goals against.
September 22, 200916 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 10:16 AM) Whoa. Hadnt heard anything about that. Did he just get hurt or is it from an old recurring injury?? This was on the Hawks' Facebook page: The following statement was issued today by Chicago Blackhawks Head Team Physician Dr. Michael Terry:“Adam Burish went into the boards on Sunday night in Minnesota and injured his right knee".
September 22, 200916 yr just found out it on espn, out six months with a torn ACL http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nhl/news/story?id=4494469 Jack Skille, your table is ready
September 22, 200916 yr QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 12:49 PM) Booo at the injury, Burrish had that Badger intensity you just cant teach. Is that anything like the fire and passion that Aaron Rowand has??
September 22, 200916 yr QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 11:06 AM) Adam Burrish is probably out for the year after having knee surgery today. That sucks. He looked great at the intersquad on Saturday.
September 22, 200916 yr First cuts have been done... Beach doesn't even get the short try out period before going back to Juniors. http://blackhawks.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id...vid=DL|CHI|home Blackhawks Trim Training Camp Roster To 28 Players Tuesday, 09.22.2009 / 12:17 PM / News By Chicago Blackhawks The Chicago Blackhawks have assigned forwards Bryan Bickell, Mark Cullen and Rob Klinkhammer and defensemen Daryl Boyle and Brian Connelly to the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs. September 22, 200916 yr Damn he was one of my personal favorites. (along with Big Buff) I'm excited to finally see Skille though!

September 23, 200916 yr QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 11:10 PM) Maybe, or it could be Colin Fraser doing back flips. Bringing Madden in takes up one of those spots already.
September 24, 200916 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 23, 2009 -> 07:49 AM) Bringing Madden in takes up one of those spots already. Yeah, but that doesn't take away Burish's spot, so that's irrelevant.
