Hopefully Huet can do this against other teams, other than Nashville as well. He was really good tonight though.

EDIT: Nice sweet video put up on their main site. Hit the Ice.

Best he's looked all season so far.

When it's all said and done, Huet is the guy that will determine if this team is a legiminate Stanley Cup contender or not.

Which is why, despite a good showing against the league's worst offense, I'm still leaning towards "not".

I need to see good things from him consistently and against better competition to become a believer.

Huet looked very good last night!!

If he can play more consistent we will have a FORCE in net with Huet and Niemi

We know he is much better than he has shown this year. If it takes a game against Nashville to get him back to at least decent, so be it.

The Hawks just need to him to get hot at the right time, and that's obviously in the playoffs.

Right now, the West is more wide open than it probably has been for at least a few seasons, so if the Hawks are ever going to make a Stanley Cup, this is probably going to be the year.

It ought to be interesting to see what kind of night Havlat has after the way he left Chicago.

andrew ebbett can absolutely fly.....i didnt think it was possible to make this team much faster

Huet is looking very solid again, but you have to give it up for the Hawks D. The shotblocks have been awesome. Plus, this team doesn't score much on the initial shot, but do they ever crash the net well.

What a shot by Kane. he put that into a tiny little hole over Backs shoulder.

Nice effort tonight. They put the stat up that the Hawks had 15 shot blocks with 6 minutes to go in this one. That pretty much sums it up.

They called that game pretty tight for both teams, Tony. Huet looked good again tonight except for one or two rebounds. This team is going to get better and better. Can't wait for Hossa and Eager.

We cant let Kaner go somewhere else for a long time.

Unless Kane takes 5m/year and Keith takes 4-5m/year, I don't see a way we can get all 3 back, unless we trade Sharp, Barker, and/or Byfuglien and Versteeg.

That was a sick shot. His talent is really incredible.

EDIT: Heres the goal for some who didn't see it/want to see it again.

The goal is actually more amazing in slow motion, because you can really see exactly how small the target is at the point that Kaner takes that shot.

Having played hockey, and watched a ton, that goal really goes to emphasize how incredibly talented Kane is, but it also shows his ice awareness. He knew where he was putting that puck before he even took off around the goal.

To be able to spin around, skating backwards, and without looking pick the corner... that's special.

Marian Hossa skated non-contact drills today, and Brent Seabrook returned to practice. No Toews yet.

I think it'll be a while for him. His hit was much more severe than Seabrooks. Good to see Seabs will play tomorrow though.

The Avs are 10-1-2 with 9 of their games happening on the road so far? Wow.

Hawks come down here to play the Preds tonight for their 3rd game against each other in the last 15 days.

Did'ja take a gander at who's minding the net for Colorado? I always thought he got the short-end of the stick here.

I did, but still, the guy hadn't really done anything worth mentioning until this year.

Still I'd like to see the person who thought the Avs would be leading the western conference easily at this point?

Very lackluster first period by the Hawks, thankfully Huet came to play and held Nash scoreless.

The Predators swarmed the Hawks net in the 1st period, and Huet looked fantastic turning away every shot.
