July 31, 200916 yr I just posted this in the catch all thread: WTF!? Reports are the Red Sox are trading Adam LaRoche for Casey Kotchman. Red Sox have to be giving up a prospect as well because a straight up swap would be beyond idiotic by the Braves. This deadline is really f***ed up compared to previous years. A lot of moves are being made that makes you stop and say to yourself "WTF!?"

Kotchman makes sense as a defensive replacement, situational player, and left handed pinch hitter. What an unbelievable day by Boston. They got A LOT better without giving up a ton.
