I still say he's moderately critical of the Sox when they deserve it which makes

him different from all other announcers who have to be homers.

I love Hawk.

Of all the things I can say about Harrelson, that he is critical isn't one of them. He never will say anything bad about a player until they aren't in a Sox jersey anymore. If you want to hear guys that are fair and aren't afraid of the players, listen to Farmer and Rooney. Farmio isn't afraid of anyone on this team.

I did say moderately critical. I do think sometimes he and DJ

are moderately negative, especially compared to all other MLB announcers.

Although Steve Stone can be critical occasionally, right?

I'm not saying Hawk is critical, but remember that stretch when we

couldn't bunt? He said flat out stuff like Nobody on this team can bunt and

it's ridiculous how nobody can bunt.

 

I guarantee you most announcers wouldn't even touch that issue

lest they get fired.

His insight sure, but the post was inregards to announcers being willing to take their own players to task. Stone hardly ever does, Chump Carrey NEVER does.
