Depending on the makeup of the rest of the team, I like Nix in the lineup somewhere. But if you need Getz as your leadoff type because it's not coming from anywhere else, then Getz is the 2B

Nix and Getz are both absolutely awful fielders, but in different ways. Nix gets to a lot, but drops the ball constantly, whereas Getz generally catches the ball, but never gets to it.

 

Nice pitching, Jose. Had to throw an extra 10 to 12 pitches probably because of the error though.

Ive mentioned it before, but i think Jose shouldve been tried as a reliever long ago.

 

Very often has a good first inning or two, then loses focus.

 

Not great at holding people on.

I really wouldn't mind seeing Pods get a 1 year deal next year to leadoff and play in LF, shifting Q to RF. The OF would finally be pretty solid.

Removing Dye from the OF and ensuring Pods is no longer in CF would indeed make me happy. Pods is still a pretty decent leadoff hitter.

It's easy to be negative lately, but Jose was throwing slop that first inning; soft slop.

That does not bode well for the next time through tht order. Don't like what I saw in inning No. 1.

Of course we have done nothing in 2 innings agianst their hack pitcher.
