There goes whatever minuscule amount of hope we had for winning the division.

It will be tough against Beckett, but wouldn't everyone have been satisfied if before the disaterous roadtrip we were told the Sox would split the 8 games vs. Boston? Detroit is winning like crazy right now.

Good to see we put it out of reach while I was in the restroom.

Well at least they put the dream to bed nice and early instead of keeping us hoping for the rest of the season....

Prior to our last win (Aug. 28th) before and during the winning streak, we are 4-0 when Dye is out the lineup and 1-5 when he's in the lineup. Not saying that means anything but it's crazy a record.

Also I know why we lost. Damn Jeremy started the game thread. We were 4-0 or some s***, when Tommy started it. :P

Now that the playoffs are out of reach lets play some young guys.

I just got back from the Mets-Cubs game where the only thing of note was a heckler who had some sort of irrational hatred of Sam Fuld. The game had its movements, but I was mostly caught up in the scoreboard showing the White Sox once again failing to capitalize on any opportunities. Surprise, surprise. Let's just win the series.

I didn't see much of the game, I was hoping for a sweep although it is hard to do against Boston.
