That is just dumb. We aren't trading a better pitcher, for a nutcase with a worse contract.

Well, except Ozzie loves him.

Sounds like he really likes Peavy as well...

Just seen this on MLBTR....I wouldn't do this deal.

The latest from John Perrotto of Baseball Prospectus:

Seems like pure speculation, but a Jake Peavy for Carlos Zambrano deal this offseason would not surprise some in Chicago.

That is easily the dumbest thing I've heard all year.

He didn't exactly "Hit" this year. Injuries sure, non-DH sure, but blah

Regardless he’s been scapegoated (I like to call it being Swishered) for a lot of the Cubs failings that were beyond his control. I think hes a got a bit of a temper to him, but he’s really driven by an (almost) irrational desire to win. In a lot of ways, he’d be a perfect fit in the White Sox clubhouse. Especially, as a buy low KW special.

Really, that's what you see in him? An irrational desire to win? I haven't gotten that impression at all.

I'd rather have rios.

But Zambrano is a better hitter. Could he play the outfield?

Someone needs a new crack dealer. Cooper was pretty vocal about Zambrano. Why trade a Cy Young for a Cy Young wannabee?

Thank you. Irrational is a good word to describe Z though...

What i meant was that Bradley really doesn't seem to give a damn about where he plays, as long as it puts him in a place where he can win. From what i've heard he's a really isolated guy in the clubhouse, he's focused, when his focus gets compromised he gets really pissed off.

With his reputation, he'd get torn to shreds by Sox fans if he struggled for 2 weeks, and then his focus would be compromised yet again.
