What's wrong with it ?

I take it Peavy has NO off speed stuff.

According to Gameday he's mixing it up anywhere from 82 to 93 mph. Which game are you watching?

why the f*** doesnt he just play flowers?

"i protect the rookie. i dont like throw him under the fire. i protect him"

I bet both starters are liking this ump. Hitters better swing if it's close.

Peavy really shouldn't be out there if he can't cover first base. It's beyond pointless for him to still be pitching this season.

thanks polanco, mags is a DP machine.

gotta say, i'm already psyched to see a healthy JP come spring. I think he sees all the talk about the transition from NL to AL as a challenge.

So its just a known at this point the Sox are trying to lose every game, right?

Peavy wouldnt be pitching if they were tanking.

I fully agree. From what I've seen, I like the tenacity he brings out there to the mound.

need more guys like him, some competitive fire. PK is such a laid back guy - not that he doesn't try to win, but he's always dissing on what he calls "rah rah" s***. Showing some life never hurt, imo.

Ok, just the hitters then.

I see the extra work Walker has put in with the hitters is paying off.

At this rate I'd give Walker an open end contract. Let him leave on his terms.

Eddie "Cy" Bonine

Bonine was the guy the Tigers sent out to make room for Aubrey Huff on the roster following his trade from the Orioles on Aug. 17. His last game action with the Tigers was a spot start in late July, but he'll be used out of the bullpen for the stretch run. He has allowed 11 runs over 14 innings in five games with Detroit this summer.

wow, he is pitching a no hitter. i am impressed :)
