Detroit Tigers @ Chicago White Sox

Dye is healthy. Healthy knees and legs and I have seen some very good defense from JD and his throwing arm is strong. The talk about him being a poor defender doesn't ring true in my book

There are worse right-fielders in MLB. But it isn't a very long list.

Detroit is averaging over 31k per home date with 7 games to go that have to be close to, if not, sold out. If they get some playoff game gates, I think the stories of their dire finances, especially considering who their owner is, will be highly overblown.

This is the part of the game where our lack of offense becomes annoying and my mood worsens.

Why can't we score runs at home ever??

Are they all trying to hit the homer?

I wonder if we lead the league in popups or if all teams pop it up like we do.

Our offense is lame.

I don't think it's on Walker, but if we need a scapegoat he would be a good choice.

The hitters should take him out for dinner after the season since they've made him look so bad most of the season.

Our hitting has sucked of course.

Can you imagine how much better a team we'd be next year if we could get seven innings out of our starters

like in the old days?

We'd only have to use our lousy set guys in the eighth and use lefty/righty matchups, then go to

our closer in the ninth.

Shouldn't baseball teams go to a six man rotation in an attempt to get quality starters to work seven

effective innings? We'd be a helluva team if our starters could go seven full innings.

This game is familiar to yesterday. Our starter will get hit in sixth, seventh and no offense. Trouble is brewing.

How can you pitch such a fine game and walk the bases loaded suddenly?

Youth.

5 BBs for Hudson who never showed this wildness in the minors. Goes to show that he might be quite ready yet, or needs a tad more work on his location.

Probably why more people are more comfortable with a veteran manning the 5th next year especially a cheap Freddy. Let him get his arm stronger in ST and he'll be very effective.

Hudson gets a B plus for his six innings.

If I was Oz, I'd let him start the second but have the relievers ready in case he walks the leadoff hitter or gives up ONE hit.

That's unless he has some wildly high pitch count.

I don't see how he can put in Pena/Liney. Those guys will make all the fans puke, except the Tiger fans.

We're really going to leave Huddy high and dry here, aren't we?

They have over 65 million tied into Ordonez-Bonderman-Robertson-Willis-Guillen next year.

Not to mention they might have to offer Washburn and Huff arb.

I think so. Oz said last night his bullpen is thin.

I'd like to see Hudson start the inning and get a quick hook if one gets on base. Wouldn't you agree?

Rios is back.

PODS WITH THE RBI TRIPLE! For good or ill, Pods is a one-man wrecking machine.

Nice pair of hits.

We finally score off a starter in the sixth/seventh as they often do on us.

Let's get Huddy a win here!

BACON!!

I can honestly say I've never loved a prospect more than I love Gordon Beckham and that counts Jeremy Reed.. :o Well he might be 1A, but still . :D

somebody heard ozzie

Producers should immediately tell announcers like Huff to not say "I'll tell ya what" before leading into their comments.

It's annoying.

I'm calling it. If Beckham gets up to .275, the ROY is his.

I'm surprised he didn't throw Dye a curve in the dirt. He's been waving at those.

He can still rifle a fastball up the middle.

This is a fun inning

I would ask the Dye detractors that question

Uh... He is batting something like .180 the past two months. His range is absolutely awful. You can see it by watching him or by looking at the stats. That's why the Dye detractors look at him the way they do. Why do you think he is still good?

Good inning, but Lexi was due and couldn't get us another run.

With our bullpen, it's good to score as many as you can from the sixth inning on.

He probably won't because he is a White Sox. There's a lot of anti White Sox bias when it comes out to giving awards.
