October 7, 200916 yr QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Oct 6, 2009 -> 06:25 PM) You know how at a certain point extra innings goes from crazy exciting to super boring? This game is nearing that. Did game 3 get boring in 05?
October 7, 200916 yr If this game ended on a HBP it would be a travesty. Especially that little of a touch of the jersey. I agree with the ump, make a team actually win the game.
October 7, 200916 yr I don't see how the Tigers can win this. They've had so many opportunities to close the deal, but they can't get it. That sucked for them when the ump missed Inge's HBP.
October 7, 200916 yr i feel like these teams are super predictable...that said, what a game....you know the twins will find a way to win it in true twins fashion...IF hit pounded into the ground by gomez, bunt him over...little bloop somewhere ...game over

I agree with the ump, make a team actually win the game. That's not the umps decision to make. Either it did hit him or it didnt. It did and it's his job to call it. Cheap or not

October 7, 200916 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 6, 2009 -> 08:30 PM) Did game 3 get boring in 05? to be fair game 3 wasn't win or go home.
October 7, 200916 yr QUOTE (PlunketChris @ Oct 6, 2009 -> 08:45 PM) to be fair game 3 wasn't win or go home. nope, but I was extremely nervous still. I didn't want the series tied going back to Chicago.
October 7, 200916 yr QUOTE (jphat007 @ Oct 6, 2009 -> 08:46 PM) Thats a shame. The wrong team won. The team that couldn't close out a terrible division or hold a lead in their play-in game? No, the right team won.
October 7, 200916 yr QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 6, 2009 -> 08:46 PM) Congratulations, Twins...and you're welcome. ^^^ It sucks we helped them, but I won't cheer against my team.
October 7, 200916 yr QUOTE (PlunketChris @ Oct 6, 2009 -> 08:45 PM) Game. Pirryanyahs Thank god. I'd be severely pissed if the Tigers won that game. Though they are getting better, they have always been a prick organization. I'm just glad a a classy org. who plays the game right with a low payroll, though they are winny assholes, get to go to the postseason. Also congrats to the Tigers on one of the worst choke jobs in MLB history. (up there, even worse than the Mets) Now for the Twins... they will get absolutely destroyed vs the Yankees. October 7, 200916 yr Thats a shame. The wrong team won. Wha? I guess you're saying a team that played 3 games against us to win the division and couldn't do it was the right team? The Tigers allowed this to happen, they get 100% of the blame. Edited October 7, 200916 yr by DukeNukeEm
October 7, 200916 yr Detroit now is the first team in history to be in 1st place since May 10th to lose the Division in the last week/day? Total choke job.
October 7, 200916 yr QUOTE (daa84 @ Oct 6, 2009 -> 08:46 PM) imagine that...two hits that aren't hits in any stadium wins it for the twins It'll all go away next year. What I'm mad about most is that Inge was hit by that pitch, grazed his shirt or not, it's still a hit and the ump missed it, But you have to expect that considering he was extremely inconsistant this whole game.
