Just saw this :(

I'm not old enough to remember the earlier years of his career, but I thought he was great as part of the Headshrinkers gang alongside Afa the Wild Samoan.

I saw Captain Lou live one time at the Rosemont Horizon or something (when it was still called that) when he was with those guys. I think that was Summerslam where Owen Hart fought Bret Hart in a cage and the fake Undertaker fought the real Undertaker. If I didn't see him there then it was at one of the other events they did. But yeah, I missed all the 80's stuff unfortunately.

I remember him most as Mario in the Super Mario Brothers Super Show.

He was pretty awesome. He was Cyndi Lauper's dad in the "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" video. RIP Cap'n Lou. :pray

We all grow beards. Those with beards must grow them longer.

I feel bad for his family and his friends.

....but....

I think he was really not very good as a manager.

Lots of fast-talk and yelling and not much interesting stuff being yelled or said quickly.

Kind of like Lewis Black in that regard.

Used to sing this all the time as a kid.

I thought that dude died in the 80's.

RIP Capt.

If I could grow facial hair very well at all then I'd do one in memoriam...but, it would take me probably 6 months just to get a regular beard.

Just find that one stray hair that grows wildly from your chin for no apparent reason and nurse it well. Feed it like it's the Chia Obama. When others are annoyed by it or mistake it for a cobweb and threaten to pluck it out, you can then take the opportunity to remind them of Captain Lou Albano and the legacy he left behind.

Seriously?

Seriously. It seems as if I'm one of the few.
