January 22, 201016 yr QUOTE (klaus kinski @ Jan 22, 2010 -> 09:32 AM) Says .300 avg gets him 20 HR and 40 doubles- You know the scary thing? If you look at Becksy's numbers after he got over that initial 30 ab's of nothing, he hit .286 with 28 doubles and 14 HR over his last 350 at bats. If you simply project up to 550 at bats, that's 22 HR and 44 2b...if he does absolutely nothing in terms of improvement beyond where he was once he adapted to big league pitching.
January 22, 201016 yr QUOTE (klaus kinski @ Jan 22, 2010 -> 08:27 AM) Sounds so much more confident to me If you ever want to know what "quality make-up" sounds like for a ball player, listen to this interview. Beckham just gets it.

January 22, 201016 yr QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jan 22, 2010 -> 10:56 AM) "Becksy?" That's his hockey name.
January 22, 201016 yr QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jan 22, 2010 -> 09:56 AM) "Becksy?" Does that bother you, sucky?

I would think about this the other way around. More likely league pitching makes adaption to Beckham's swing and we will see how he responds. Remember it takes awhile for league to catch up in regards to scouting reports and film. I expect them to attach Beckham totally different this year.

January 23, 201016 yr Hopefully he doesn't go thru a "sophomore slump" this season, because GB has become so important as that table setter being the #2 hitter and all.
January 23, 201016 yr QUOTE (qwerty @ Jan 23, 2010 -> 08:25 AM) Play around with this... you will likely have a blast. \/\/007! Looks like he takes a lot low and inside. That certainly is an interesting resource, for sure. Here's a question: in the right-hand column where it lists the result percentages...what's the difference between a Line Out and a Lineout?
