This. If you have two pockets, why not use both? There's no need to cram everything into one pocket.

Let pocket, gum, chapstick, car key fob.

My phone always gets left pocket to itself, or maybe with some lipstick.

I'd be careful with that, phone could end up all red.

I could fit something a bit bigger than my iPhone in my pocket comfortably, but I can't fit something THAT big comfortably.

The difference is less than half an inch. I'd say that's simply "a bit bigger".

Yeah, but you can't hoe without red lips.

Its an inch+, actually.

S3 = 5.38 x 2.78 x 0.34 in 4.69 oz

i5 = 4.87 x 2.31 x 0.30 in 3.95 oz

...and I said the S3 isn't that bad, but it's noticeable. You guys are talking about 5" phones, which is even bigger.

I need to get me one of those. :lol:

The more I've thought about it, the more I want the S3/S4 over the Note 2/3. I think the Note is super cool, but that might be crossing a size threshold for me. Like others have mentioned, it'd be nice as a work phone. I could expect to take calls with it and just use a bluetooth device for calling and never have to put that big ass thing up to my ear. For personal use though, I only get calls every couple days or so. The rest is a little texting and then internet and app use. I don't want to have to put that freaking brick up by my face in public when I happen to receive a call.

I want to go bigger than my iPhone (not that I really hate the iPhone, it's been very good to me), but for now I'm sticking with the pretty damn big S3/S4 for my next purchase. Others are just too big.

It honestly doesn't feel that weird using the note 2 for calls. Maybe if you're a tiny person. As an average sized dude I'd say it's really not that big.

It's the size of it vs the size of my face. I looked at it next to my face...and it didn't look right. I'm a 200 pound dude, but apparently my dome can't support a Note 2

Just a little note, Android 4.2.2 contains baseband code that will kill the Nexus LTE hack, which allows those devices to use LTE band 4 (I believe it's that band, anyway).

Can be fixed by flashing 4.2.1 radio.

I'm actually looking forward to using T-Mobile's LTE on the Nexus 4 once they deploy it by the end of the year.

Lot of people having issues with the old .33 radio code when doing this. Also forces you to stay on dated baseband instruction sets.

I also read about this on xda, which is where I assume you heard about reflashing the baseband.

I doubt they changed the baseband that much in one .01 revision.

I think the problem I saw (this was on RootzWiki) was that people couldn't send SMS.

I've given up trying to decipher how important version numbers are based on decimal separation. Others started it, but Google took it to another level with Chrome that totally rendered version numbers meaningless, and others have picked up to keep up...apparently. Chrome has only been around for a few years and its on version 24.something.something.something.random letter already. So who knows how much information they added to a .point release these days.

Has anybody played with a Yoga yet? How portable are they? I really want an all in one machine that I can use for everything including web browsing, media center, dj'ing, music production etc. I was considering moving to a Surface Pro to replace everything, but the Yoga seems more...stable, I guess. A Nexus 10 is out of the question as a lot of the apps (Traktor, FLStudio, various VSTi's) I need aren't available for Android, but everything is available for Windows 8. I asked about the iPad for a long time ago, but I don't want to be tied into Apple and the lack of expandable storage, usb and HDMI is a killer for me. Plus, iTunes might as well be called iAids. Not gonna do it.

I also wanted a Yoga a few months back. It's still a bit expensive IMO. Plus, there's no wacom stylus support yet.

I don't even know a wacom stylus is. I need to Google it.

I want this to replace my laptop, desktop and everything associated. The specs on the Surface Pro are impressive, though it's awfully pricy.
