You'll learn to dislike them.

I find it hilarious that the iPad Mini is only $70 cheaper than the iPad2.

If I don't think about the price and don't have to deal with customer service (and I don't think I ever have), AT&T is great. Best or close to the best coverage with the fastest LTE in many markets.

While you find it funny, I find it awesome that I can sell my 2 year old iPad for hundreds of dollars.

I recently sold mine for $300.

Although I think Steve's point was that the iPad Mini is overpriced.

It was - I'm getting an iPad or iPad mini for my wife soon, because she's iCrazed - and was surprised to see such little price discrepancy. Heaven forbid someone not go into OMG DEFEND [insert platform here] BEST EVER mode.

This is your chance to get a new Sony phone for a reasonable price Sqwert.

I'm on Verizon now and I'm pretty sure those are all GMS. Thanks for the head's up though.

Seeing that my ETF goes to zero on 8/17 for my current Sprint phone, I'm eyeing the HTC One (potential 8/1 release) and the Moto X (potential 8/24 release). Regarding the latter, I'll first want to see some initial reviews as I already know what to expect with the One.

Does anyone here have a chromebook? If so, thoughts? I'm realizing all I use on my personal laptop is browser, music player, and basic photo editor/organizer.

The Moto X is pretty much the size of an iPhone 5, but with a 4.7 inch screen (actual screen size without navigation buttons is ~4.5). The bezels are very minimal.

For reference, the iPhone 5 is 4.87 inches in length and 2.31 inches wide.

This phone is the same height and about .2 inches wider. It's also supposed to have a replaceable back, which could mean replaceable battery as well. If this comes at a price point similar to the Nexus 4, I'm in.

God that's a joke. The phone was announced 4 months ago.

Yeah I'm definitely intrigued as their seems to be more emphasis on user experience over specs. They're also pumping $500M into marketing and releasing it on every carrier. No confirmation yet but this should be stock or near stock so updates could be quick.

And yeah, the HTC One arriving so late on Verizon is a joke. The 8/1 date isn't even confirmed.

I have a feeling this phone will get a lot of developer support too. But then again, most flagship phones get dev support these days.

The hardware on the phone isn't as good as I would like. It's a dual core Qualcomm S4 Pro, but scores 18-19k in Antutu. For reference, the Nexus 4 scores around the same, if not lower. Perhaps the smaller resolution and less powerful chip will translate to better battery life. That's definitely something Motorola is good at.

I was always frugal with my cell phone purchases, but finally decided to treat myself. I bought the Samsung Galaxy S4 and my life will never be the same.

Samsung Galaxy S 4 Active waterproof feature.

Cool thing, or the coolest thing? As I am not in the market for a phone, I'm not sure how many other phones are waterproof as well, but texting in the pool sounds amazing. It's always a 30 seconds process of wiping my hands completely dry before checking my texts every 10 minutes in the pool.

That is so cool, assuming "waterproof" also means water functional, like I could theoretically text underwater, although that would be difficult.

Yup. You can take it to the shower with you, in the pool, in a river, whatever. Just don't submerge it for more than 30 minutes.

So my computer wasn't booting. Gave me an error. I used my windows 7 recovery disc and the s***ty repair utility that comes with Windows. It fixed in 5 minutes. That's never happened. Ever.

They have the same technology built into Samsung TV's and the PS3, at least for Youtube. It's really cool and works flawlessly. For $35 bucks, this probably kills a lot of the "smart TV" mark-up.

Ordered one yesterday. With the free 3 months of Netflix included, it's just $11 for the device. Plus I'm sure it'll be quicker to load up a Netflix movie than my PS3.

I have a Vizio and it came with several apps like that, but not sure of the difference
