Maryland will have an interesting first round matchup, I'm thinking Duke over Clemson.

Duke over Maryland.

Holy crap, did the ACC stink this year. Hope anyone but Duke wins.

Was really hoping Miami got to play FSU again. Nothing to play for and since its our rival, we might have actually gotten up to play them.

I could easily see any of Maryland,FSU,Clemson or GT being in the finals against Duke.

Yeah, outside of the Big 12 and Big East, all the major conferences had "weak" seasons.

How come nobody is picking UNC? You guys are all fools.

A disastrous season was just a ploy to lull everyone into a false sense of security in ACC tourney time.

Marcus Ginyard is going to develop into a legit ACC starter.

Deon Thompson is going to decide against playing in the WNBA and show some toughness.

Larry Drew is going to retrieve his brain from California.

Will Graves is going to put down the weed and chips and guard somebody.

Roy Williams will actually use timeouts.

Just you wait and see.

I would love to see UNC take out Maryland if we beat Clemson. Well, I want to see anyone beat slimy Vasquez.

I despise that dude, can't even imagine how fans of ACC teams feel about him.

The only thing I like about him is that he beat out Scheyer for POY in the ACC.

I'll say the championship game is the same matchup and result as the ACC Tournament had last year with Duke beating Florida State.

It is a bit surprising that most people have the ACC getting 7 teams into the dance this year.

I will show my bias against Duke and pick Clemson as tournament champs over the Dookies!

Underdogs continue to rule the opening rounds of this tournament.

Since 2005, underdogs are 15-6(If Miami can hold onto their 23 pt lead).

Since 2003, underdogs against the spread are 46-23-3.

So fathom, if Hewitt wins today does that save his job for another year?

What some of the best sources are saying, if they lose tonight and don't make the tourney, they will do everything in their power to fire him. The thing is, that decision has to be made by Monday, or else his contract rolls over another year. If they win tonight and make NCAA Tourney, and then go one and out, the AD will fire all the assistant coaches in an effort to get Hewitt to quit and settle for about half of the remaining contract. Everyone involved with GT wants Hewitt out, and the AD went as far to say last night that everyone knows there's "unique circumstances" relating to the job evaluation of Hewitt. Unique = ridiculous contract signed by previous AD.

Sounds like a crappy situation all-around.

Any ideas on possible replacements?

Nope, GT fans always like to throw Mark Price's name in the mix, but I was told that's not likely to happen. Since they wouldn't have a lot of money to spend on their new coach, they'd go after a younger guy like Cameron Dollar, Chris Collins, etc. One of the things that sucks about being a GT fan is that a majority of their fans only care about football. They'd rather give raises to the assistant football coaches than to have a competitive basketball team.

That's unfortunate because mile for mile, Georgia has the best basketball talent in the nation. Georgia and GT should be in the tourney every year just off of local talent alone.

I'm so excited that there's 24 minutes left in the career of Paul Hewitt. That motherf***er has been stealing money for 4 seasons now. He can take his BCA agenda and clogged toilet offense and get the f*** out of Atlanta.

I should have never underestimated the crappiness of UNC's guards.

It's hard to measure just how s***ty this UNC roster is. You have some young talent that Roy just refuses to play, and some upper classmen that just aren't ACC caliber but Roy was in love with them. Just made absolutely no sense.

Larry Drew has ZERO confidence, he looks like a deer in headlights during crunch time. Nobody can step up to be a scorer with this bunch, mercifully the season is over (hopefully). Unless the Not Invited Tournament accepts them.

Semifinals!

Wished we were on the other side of the bracket though. Third game in three days isnt a good matchup vs Duke though.

Georgia Tech melting down big time in the 2nd half.

That put back dunk by Favors shouldn't have counted in the GT v. MD game.
