I am going to guess 88 wins.

I loled...

Imagine if the team hadn't started so poorly, and Peavy didn't go down, and Quentin hadn't under-performed, and...

Frustrating isn't it? Many of us predicted around 88 wins, not thinking of the bad things that happened.

Here's the thing that amazes me...if you'd told me Peavy got hurt in June and Quentin put up an .800 OPS, I'd have said this was a .500 team or below.

OTOH, if you gave me the good things only...if you told me that Konerko had a great year, that Alexei turned into an awesome SS, and Rios had a very good year...I'd still have asked "how did Peavy and Quentin do, because if they're bad, I still think we're a .500 team".

Now that I've mulled it over more I'm changing my number to 85. Our offense is usually pretty anemic in April and we struggle to win consistently down the stretch to close out a season.

^^^^The number was a bit off but how I got to it wasn't.

88

Unfortunately, I only thought the Twins would win 85-86. I wish I had been right about that too.

Man thats funny too cuz the things you just mentioned that make us a .500 team in our league would make us division champs in the NL Central or West.

I thought they would be closer to losing 90 than winning 90. Getting guys like Pierre, Jones and Teahan didn't really impress me as for winning a division. Peavy and Qunetin were ? and will be in 2011. I hoped Dye would have signed as a DH since they lost some offense. I'm surprised that the division winner won 94 games.

Damn, I should've taken that Vegas bet.
