Opening Day lineup if you exchange Vizquel with Teahen.

Opening Day lineup if you exchange Vizquel with Teahen.

Hopefully so. Hopefully Ozzie has taken some common sense pills and realized Kotsay is NOT a 3 hole hitter. He is not really a 5 hole hitter either, but it could be worse. Ideally, if Teahen is right I would have him bat 5, Rios 6, Kotsay 7 or 8, AJ 7 or 8 and then Alexei 9. But Ozzie's fascination with L/R/L/R could kill the lineup.

I like that lineup.

I've been reading that since Westbrook is pitching that means Kotsay will be in the lineup, assuming DH hitting 5th or 6th. I have my money on Carlos hitting third.

MLB.com appears to have launched a new live scoreboard.

No White Sox audio, but there is Indians audio.

Quentin singles to RF. Cancel postgame show.

Sounds like Konerko was a last minute scratch.

123 first for Garcia.

What's up with PK?

Rios makes the Tribe announcer say "Forget about that one".

1-0 Sox.

Not sure, but he's out and was a late enough scratch that they just moved everyone else up 1 spot in the lineup and put Gallagher (I think) in at 1b.

Indians would face him again next Wednesday. Also get him a game closer to his first start next wednesday and not have a week off.

Peavy pitched 4 days ago. It was against the Reds minor league affiliate. He wanted to get some work in.

Kotsay has been good this spring and I think he'll be a solid part of the team, but 5hole?

so this is just a matter of hiding peavy from divisional opponents, not injury related

sounds good to me

Hafner singles off of Garcia.

I hate it too (much rather have Rios or Teahen there) but I'll gladly prefer him over A.J.

The issue is, especially against RHP...the entire "heart of our order" is right handed. Becksy, Q, Konerko, Rios. The guys who are LH aren't high OPS guys unless Teahen pulls something off. Kotsay sort of falls into that spot so we don't have 4-5 RH batters in a row.

Peavy starts tomorrow in Charlotte. The top four starters will all be pitching on five days rest for their first start.

Kearns with an RBI single scoring Hafner. 1-1

2-1 Indians as Hernandez hits a bloop single off of Pierre's glove. Peralta scores.

3-1 Indians. Kearns scores on single by D Espino.

Asdrubal Cabrera bunts. Garcia fields, flips home, too late. 4-1 Indians. Tallied as E-1.
