It was probably a Kevlar hat.

That would be cool to own. They might be popular with gang members.

I'm glad he got rid of those mom jeans.

They showed him with Sox hat on the board at USCF in the 8th inning and he was booed heavily.

I just saw the throw and let me say 6 year old girls have nothing to be ashamed of...

He walked out and the crowd noise was about what you'd expect (mixed cheering and booing, people can't help themselves) then he pulled out his hat and put it on and the crowd looked stunned and started booing, then went back to cheering. I thought it was kind of funny actually, don't read comments on any article talking about this though because they are all stupid.

He got booed at US Cellular when they showed the video.

That's some sorry ass s***

Really makes me proud to be a Sox fan.

oh whoops, I thought I was talking about the Washington crowd. Why the hell would they boo him at USCF for wearing a Sox hat?

edit: the above is a rhetorical question

Probably because he was wearing a nationals jacket?

That was my thought, but who the hell knows. I read that he actually didn't want to wear the Nationals jacket but he got talked into it.

They say it's a tradition for the president to wear a Nationals jacket but how is it really a tradition? Only one president (Bush) actually threw out a first pitch in a Nationals jacket.

How can it a tradition when the team is only like three years old?

Right.

Every tradition was 3 years old at some point, right? :lolhitting

I still think it is awesome the President is a die-hard Sox fan. How cool is that.

I don't know. I mean, a reasonable person would never boo Obama for wearing a Nationals jacket in Washington DC on opening day. If that's true, then the Sox fanbase is a hell of a lot dumber than I thought it was.

It was more than likely just a bunch of cowards that disagree with his politics. You could also throw in some serious retards that don't think he's a legitimate Sox fan, for whatever reason. Those people are few and far between, I'm sure.

I was trying to avoid going there. Oh well, it always does

Wondering why its cowardly to disagree with him? I'm guessing if people boo'd Bush it would be incredible, right?

/political BS

He means booed heavily at Nationals Park, not inside USCF when they showed it on the screen.

Nobody boo'd Obama at USCF. The poster didn't clarify that when he put the Sox hat on at Nationals Park he meant the Nationals Park crowd boo'd, not the crowd at the sox game watching it on the jumbo tron.

Remember, dissent is patriotic! Especially on a message board... Add in calling someone a retard, and you are downright a national hero!

I'm an Obama supporter, but why exactly would someone booing him be a coward?
