I like Kotsay in the lineup

Featured Replies

I've been talking to Ozzie, and he is more excited than he is ever been about the team. Kotsay brings great versatility to the team.

Can we get Farmer to log in and comment that Kotsay is probably our best all-around baseball player?

Just like Erstad brought a leadership role and grindy to the leadoff role. Just like Mackowiak did as a starting CF instead of a good utility guy off the bench. Just like Wise did as the leadoff guy and starter.

Erstad was basically a .400 hitter and Wise earned the starting CF and Leadoff role with his "tremendous" play. You may have a point about Mackowiak, however.

You can't really get on Ozzie too much about the Mackowiak situation. Nobody could foresee Brian Anderson doing a Doug Dascenzo impersonation with the bat. And other than moving Pods to CF, there was no better alternative.

That's ironic considering the thread you started last night.

At least get the voice down, if you're going to post in it.... dagnabbit.

:lolhitting That's what Kotsay brings to Sox fans.

I think we need a real bopper in the DH spot. Thome or Dye would have been my picks. I am not sure this committee thing will work, but knowing it's only 3 games into the season I can wait. No other choice obviously
