April 15, 201015 yr It does stink. They have it in the Chicago Children's Museum. It's in the dinosaur exhibit. You dig through the stuff to find the dinosaur bones. Then again, it is inside, so the stench has nowhere to go.

Like this stuff... http://www.rubberecycle.com/playground_rubber_mulch.asp Yep, I used it once. It may have improved from the early version I used. My biggest problem was the dog enjoyed playing with it. So he would run, grab a chunk and toss it around the yard . . . twenty or thirty times a day . . . each time with a different piece . . . every f***ing day . . . then you hit it with a mower.

April 16, 201015 yr It is toxic if ingested, so if you have a toddler, or a dog, you might not want it.

Add in the dog waiting for a piece to go flying . . . And this stuff looks a whole lot better than what I bought, which literally was off the back of a truck with the crew going door to door. They claimed it was left over from a playground project.

Google rubber playground mulch and toxic. There is plenty of stuff out there on it. At the end of the day, it is tires. There is a reason no one can figure out what to do with them. They are toxic in any form that comes with human or plant contact.

April 18, 201015 yr QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 11:42 AM) The dog?! The rubber mulch can get pricey can you blame him? On an other note, the stuff can get hot but that is when it is covered by the field turf so that is a large exposed to the sun area. Edited April 18, 201015 yr by Jenks Heat
April 18, 201015 yr I keep thinking the title says "Rubber Match" and then I wonder for a second why it's in SLaM.
