Screw the closer role, pitch Thornton in the most important late inning situations. Anyways, Quentin better end it here cause our lefties aren't touching Downs.

2008, I'd feel like 75% sure that Q would at least double here.

Woo, the game is finally on CSN. I get to watch the end!

He was so clutch...he opens up so early now and has to swing all arms.

We apologize.

So Thorton is not used in the 8th or 9th but can pitch the 10th and 11th the fundamental simple things that anyone can see are dismissed by guillen. He continues to cost his team games with his assine lineups and inability to work a pen. For god sake just put your hottest hitters at the top of the lineup. The Sox are on the verge of being under .500 three of the last four years with his way of thinking and a $100M payroll. Hopefully it ends soon. I never really wished a player would get hurt as much as I wish Pierre would tear a hammy.

What new.

So, 100% of our runs have come off the homer tonight.. eventually, we're gonna need to get some runners on so we can turn these solo shots into 2-3 run blasts.

Kotsay's was a 2 run homer.

Teahen with an OPS under .400 vs LHP...he's really bad. The anti-Rios, as all of his outs are softly hit. I can't recall any line drive outs he's made all season.

Yeah, and Rios' and AJ's were solo shots.

AJ's led off an inning too. Not much you can do to get a runner on before that.

Teahen with yet another chance to do something productive and weak tap out. He's so bad. Just start platooning him with Nix until we get sick of Nix.

This is true.

We bash Kotsay, and he has been awful for the most part, but his homers have counted.

Solo in a 5-4 win over Minny

3 run hr in 7-6 @ New York Yankees

and of course tonight.

The hitter in front of you could have gotten on.

Agreed

Nice splitter, don't give Wells anything good to hit!

The Blackhawks are so good, it's scary; 4-2. Power play thing of beauty.
