Paulie continues to carry this franchise on his back...along with Jones and Rios.

Only 3rd homer allowed in 21 IP by Cecil, only gave up 1 ER last time out against the Murderers' Row Indians.

Daniel Hudson eerily tracking Peavy's season, scoreless first inning with one hit surrendered, 6.29 ERA.

Home Runs...thats how we score.

32 K's in 36 IP, 21 BB's for Jake

26 pitches through 2, now at 5.97 ERA, looking more and more respectable by the inning

I look forward to seeing Jake pitch like this at the beginning of next year when we aren't 7 games back.

Nice swing there by AJ...

So many pop ups to shallow right side for Carlos.

If Quentin swings at the first pitch, he better be pulling the ball 450 feet foul at least. Way too many first pitch pop ups to right.

What the hell are we going to do about Pierre, CQ, Teahen and Ramirez next year? I wonder if they'll have the balls to just let them go and eat their salary to get some better players in here. Maybe not CQ. I guess we just have to pray on him.

Pierre and Teahen are the two guys that you can't continue to play if they continue to give us this awful production. Teahen should never played against LHP.

Let's see if Juan can double his hits with RISP

I'll take it, let's snap out of it here Gordon.

He did, but miscommunication at 3rd cost us a run.

Well hot dog. That's the problem with PIerre though, he's going to have trouble scoring people from second

Hit the damn ball too hard lol...

Everybody can play him shallow. Unless its a speedster people are going to have a tough time scoring from 2nd on a JP hit. Better than none tho thats for sure

He's turned into Rickey Henderson!

RBI number 5 for Gordon

Jeff Cox costs us a run.

But AJ wasn't looking up at his 3B coach either.

What else can we mess up this year?

Plus AJ didn't go 1st to 3rd on the bloop hit, but still doesn't matter. Beckham with his easiest RBI of the season.

Yeah, no way AJ shouldn't have been at 3rd on a 3-2 pitch with 2 outs

At least he now has 2 hits with RISP this season.

Stupid approach here by Andruw, took high fastball that should have been hit 500 yards but swung at garbage by his ankles.

Cox should have been down the line.

Then it would have been much easier to notice Lewis' bobble and keep AJ moving towards home. Lewis doesn't have much of an arm, just a notch or two above Pierre/Damon/Pods.

YAY! Dayan Viciedo actually just took a walk. Miracles do exist.

He got hit a bit this inning, nut nothing to show for it. Keep 'em guessing, Peavy!

He's been looking a lot better in the last two weeks or so.

Still a great approach by Alex to RF with that curveball on the outside.

Didn't try to pull it or roll over his wrists...good vibes from his approach all season.

This is going to be the key inning to get through for Peavy in this game, IMO. He's had some early leads and coughed them up.
