There aren't many teams out there that can get a lead-off walk and a bunt hit in the same inning and not score.

Well, I don't think most teams get a guy in with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 out. Oh wait.

2 hole hitters must bunt according to Ozzie's 1950's baseball manual.

I'm sure a certain person will be on here to defend that decision soon.

1st and 2nd no outs turns into zero runs. This f***ing NL baseball nonsense in the AL is f***ing stupid.

Any stat person able to find a situation where a sac bunt by the Sox led to a run this season? I can't recall many.

What does it matter. We don't score when we bunt. We don't score when we hit and run. We don't score when we do nothing. The players just aren't getting the job done. Bottom line. It has nothing to do with f***ing bunts.

It's not just about bunting in the two-hole, it's bunting with a guy who (small sample size or not) has proven he can hit Saunders.

This is the part of the game where the Angels score 2 or 3 runs and we feel as if the game is officially over...yet we keep watching.

This is one of the dumbest team when it comes to hitting with men on base.

Danks lost his release point this inning.

Nice pickoff!

Pretty K with the change.

I think Quentin's going deep in the bottom half...I called a Teahen hit yesterday. Lets try this.

It's extremely disheartening that Danks could wind up with a 1-hit loss.

STOP SWINGING AT THE FIRST PITCH.

It's awesome if it finally leads to changes. We keep chasing the pitcher's pitch on the first pitch. Brilliant strategy!

I'd honestly rather see someone k looking then fly out on the first pitch.

WTP

AJ and Quentin still suck.

We just can't build on anything...EVERYTIME we have a breakthrough offensive game we follow it up with a game like this.

What an awful approach to the plate. We are the anti-OBP team.

Seven innings in the books...FIVE 1-2-3 innings for the offense.

John Danks has 7 starts coming into tonight. The most runs he has given up is 3 runs and he is sitting at 3 wins, and 2 losses again being down because he has held another offense to 2 runs. This kid should be 7 - 0 right now.

Looks like Danks might be a tough luck loser tonight. :(

Trending...he was a tough luck loser his last two starts as well...at some point the guys just need to score some runs.
