July 28, 201015 yr QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 27, 2010 -> 10:27 PM) If the Cubs ate half Zambrano's contract, would you trade Linebrink and Teahen for him? If they'd take on the rest of Linebrink and Teahen's contracts on top of half of Zambrano's then I'd say yes. Otherwise, I don't think it would be worth the risk.
July 28, 201015 yr If KW doesn't overpay with prospects, I think it would be a great move. Make him the fifth starter where there is no pressure...plus the Ozzie relationship is well known.
July 28, 201015 yr If the Cubs ate half Zambrano's contract, would you trade Linebrink and Teahen for him? No. Zambrano right now is worth being paid the major league minimum, Andruw Jones money, no more. He's an awful pitcher. If Coop can fix him, then more power to Coop. I don't know why the Cubs would want Teahen or Linebrink. Teahen is blah and we all know what Linebrink is. He should not be in the major leagues. Edited July 28, 201015 yr by greg775
July 28, 201015 yr I would take a chance on him if the Cubs released him or if they paid all of his salary, but he is such a head case that he would be on a real short leash. Maybe he could DH for the Sox if all else fails...
July 29, 201015 yr Honestly, I could see Linebrink and a couple of C prospects going to the Cubs for Zambrano and a whole pile of cash. It just feels like an Ozzie/KW kind of move.
