that was a bulls*** call, he didnt impede Soto's throw. Soto barely touched him on the followthrough

not any worse than the first 2 strikes called on Rios. I'm still jacked about that...especially the first one.

I thought the second one was over the plate and was a good call, but that first pitch was a good 3 or so inches outside. And, once Marmol gets that call, that pitch on the inner half of the plate becomes unhittable because Rios has to defend that far outside. If that third pitch gets called what it should, the bases are loaded for Konerko (or Marmol's throwing a get me over at some point and Rios might kill it).

yeah...1st one really sucked and changed the whole complexion of the AB.

Go Bruins, Go Sox!

When do we think that Juan Pierre is going to be worth a damn at the plate

That was a very lifeless top of the inning.

We might be in for a bad offensive day.

PK warned about the emotional letdown, and unfortunately, far too often we see self-fulfilling prophecies take place with the Sox.

This Royals team can hit a little bit. 16th in runs scored and 2nd in batting average.

I'm going to give the kid on the mound some credit...he threw crisp strikes and didn't mess around out there.

I'm going to wait till the second time through the lineup before I get on the offense too much...

In his other 2 starts Lerew got through the lineup relatively unscathed the first time around but not so much the second time.

wtf

when is the pitcher coming to bat!?

4 pitch walk, really?

Those first two pitches weren't strikes (according to pitch f/x), but they sure as hell looked like it.

BTW, Detroit already up 4-0.

back to the AL folks lets see how this all shakes out

The Royals commentators are saying the White Sox' scouts were concerned about this start for Mark, because the Royals have one of the best approaches against him right now.

i hate the royals

Not a good start.

So do you think we can be realigned into the NL?

Of course, Kendall scores.

Bad inning so far. Not getting the calls and two seeing eye hits.

This is off to a terrible start. Can't be walking guys before Butler and Guillen. Of course, throwing change-ups with Alexei playing up the middle is pretty bad strategy.

Thought we might have a chance to get Kendall there with andruw in left instead of Juan.

He was playing extremely deep, which is surprising for him.
