If your a young person Hawk has been around for as long as you have been a fan of the team almost the face of whitesox baseball, which is why its hard for me to believe someone like Thunder who is relatively young can be a huge wsox fan without being a Hawk fan.

I like Hawk. He's been a great part of my White Sox fanhood and he’s an integral part of the White Sox brand, but the guy gets on my nerves. He’s more invested in being folksy and hyper-critical then actually calling the ballgame. That’s my biggest complaint.

I remember a couple years ago someone said "I have more talent in my jockstrap than Nick Punto has in his entire body." That was still one of the funniest posts on this board in my opinion.

It's a pitchers job to pitch himself out of jams. It doesn't matter whether he created them or not. The Twins didn’t suddenly get six runs in a vacuum there were circumstances outside of one bad play by Q that contributed to it.

 

We were up 4 runs. There was one out. Then Kubel hits the missed play. Young flys out. 2 outs, man on first. No runs. Then Danks shats down his leg and 6 runs cross the plate. I know our old homer announcer is looking for all sorts of other things to blame. But in reality, lots of pitchers get out of 2 out, man on first situations without giving up the touchdown.
