Congrats, Gavin. Well deserved.

Gavin Floyd's honoer as pitcher of the month in July was hardly in doubt. The right-hander went 3-1 with a microscopic 0.80 ERA over five starts. He gave up just three earned runs in 33 2/3 innings.

That ERA was the best of any major-league pictcher in the month. He actually got stronger as July went on, finishing with back-to-back scoreless outings. In his first three outings of the month, Floyd gave up just one earned run in each of them.

His only defeat in the month came July 16, when the White Sox defense struggled and three of Floyd's four runs allowed were unearned.

It is Floyd's first career monthly honor and the first by a White Sox pitcher since Jose Contreras was recognized in April of 2006.

That's Floyd, not Floyf. Hopefully, a mod can change that. ^_^

Yeah, that one wasn't really close.

To our ace! :cheers

Like Alexei, it'll be scary if/when Floyd brings it for a full season.

And rightfully so. Gavin has grown so much over these past two years.

They call the man "Big Game Gavin" for a reason. I hope the dominance continues.

G Floyd has been absolutely BRILLIANT!
