Dexter

Pretty intense first episode. It will be interesting to see Dexter get himself out of what he is in now, especially with Quinn looking at him like he did it and Deb questioning it as well. I cant wait to see Peter Wellers character, he looked creepy as hell in the preview.

Who was he in the preview? I noticed that guy from The Faculty is a bad guy.

I dont know his connection to Quinn, but it looked like Quinn went to one of his contacts and it was Peter Weller. he is wearing a really seedy leisure suit in the scene they show him talking

The "Quinn chases Dexter" smells a bit too much like "Doakes chases Dexter" from season 2, but the season looks badass regardless.

I think Quinn has some demons. Remember, Dexter was basically going to give himself up after he caught Doakes before crazy english lady blew Doakes up and pinned the harbor murders on him. I think Dexter is gonna find out what Quinn has going on in the background from his past DEA dealings. Plus, Quinn is now screwing Deb, so it will be that much more crazy.

The writers and producers are too smart to have it go the same way as Season 2, IMO.

I tend to agree with Kyyle. Quinn is going to do a lot of snooping about Dexter, and Dexter in turn will find out all the stuff about Quinn that we don't know. The obvious prediction would be that Dexter kills Quinn, but as you mentioned, that would basically be a repeat.

Kind of weak tonight....and short.

First 2 episodes have been sub-par but I think its fascinating to see him developing emotionally.

If anyone by Michael C Hall was playing that character, the show wouldn't of made it past the first season.

there is always a few episodes that drag during a season, i have a feeling they are getting these episodes out of the way early. And truthfully, I am enjoying watching what is happening, Dexter is really wrestling with the dark passenger and his father/conscience.

There's no way he can kill her, is there?

I dont think he can, it is outside of his code, but at the same time he cant just let her go. He was really sloppy with boyd.

The scene where they tranquilized each other was hilarious, and the scene in the ambulance and hospital was pretty funny too

Great episode last night, IMO.

Pumped for tonight's episode.

It's been a long week after last weeks episode.

Really liked Dexter yesterday, and why does Quinn just annoy me? Not that he is looking into the Dexter, but the way he talks, acts, dresses, walks, etc?

I liked Quinn last year more simply because now his face is so gaunt since it seems he dropped like 20 lbs. I like his character though. When Deb said "f*ck me in both ears" last night, I lost it.

I like where this Julia Styles storyline is going, and I don't. It feels like this season has some re-hashed ideas with Quinn as Doakes 2.0 and Styles as Miguel Prado 2.0, but I'm still digging it.

I'm fairly certain they introduced that female hispanic cop just to kill her off later in the season.

There is some good stuff this year but the thing I don't like is there isn't that one big case going on throughout the show that you are trying to figure out. I really don't care one bit about this murder case Deb and the new cop are chasing. It isnt very interesting compared to the past seasons big cases. Maybe because it has 0 ties to Dexter.

Another thing when that IA guy was interviewing the captain chick, was he implying that he wanted her to give him the best BJ in Miami and he would drop all charges?

That is the big case. And you know Dexter will somehow get involved. Hell, he already came up with the lead that led to that kid getting his throat diced.

I know that is the big case, I am just saying its not very interesting to me

As much as I love this show, I think they should set an end date, a la LOST, so there is a direction. I don't want it to keep treading and getting bad.

My wife loves watching Dexter but I really haven't gotten into it.
