There is some good stuff this year but the thing I don't like is there isn't that one big case going on throughout the show that you are trying to figure out. I really don't care one bit about this murder case Deb and the new cop are chasing. It isnt very interesting compared to the past seasons big cases. Maybe because it has 0 ties to Dexter.

Dexter is going to fall hard for Lumen, no doubt. The bathtub scene was weird, and one would think that Dexter would almost be offended that Lumen went through the boxes and grabbed his deceased wife's bathrobe and wore it, but it is Dexter.

As for Lumen/Dexter, I actually think they will avoid making it romantic, and really it'd probably be offensive to have someone who was so recently brutally raped hopping in bed with Dexter. You just won't see that I don't think.

I've enjoyed this season quite thoroughly.

I think this season is getting better as it goes. They have 5 more episodes to make it really good.

 

It's just too hard to follow up last season with anything to rival it. In my opinion, they have one more season left in them, and they should try to end it with a bang.

I agree with everything you said here. And yes, there is no topping last season. The second that Lithgow signed on, I knew that season would be incredible.

I told you that Peter Weller looked like he was going to be a seedy motherf***er. I love how he is extorting Quinn now, that really changes the game in regards to how the noose is closing around Dexter.

Great end scene with Jordan saying goodbye to Lumen when he left her a voicemail. And I was really excited seeing the preview for next weeks episode where you see Liddy videotaping Dexter and Lumen in the kill room

When Lumen and Dexter got it on last night, I wasn't digging it, but the more I thought about it the more it made sense. The last few weeks have been very good and even I will say that Julia Stiles was good last night.

I was definitely wrong... I didn't think they'd go there.

My prediction is that Quinn finds out from Liddy about Dexter's activities, but then sympathizes with him and what he does, not turning him in. I think he also keeps the news from Deb. Quinn has seemed to be more tranquil in recent episodes and I cannot fathom how he won't find out about Dexter via Liddy unless Dexter were to kill Liddy but I don't know how that wouldn't arose incredible suspicion and as far we know, beside being snoopy, Liddy isn't a killer. But I just see an epic confrontation between the two. I have actually loved this year, not as good as last, but still excellent TV.

Yeah, last year cannot be beat, but this year has been quite exceptional and they've pulled off what I didn't think they could... making a believable storyline of keeping the kids out of the way.
