I'm actually rooting for the Twins. I despise the Yankee$ more than any other team in sports and due to my friends and where I live it's almost unbearable for me every time they win the Series.

Great point. It seems baseball owners are content with that system, while other sports like the NBA, NFL, and NHL went to a cap to create "parity".

Baseball has been broken down to 2 audiences. One who wants to see the Yankees win it all (only the NY market matters) or those who want to see the Yankees lose.

You wonder how many Yankee fans are bandwagon fans?

 

I think I'm going to be lynched by both for being indecisive. I usually root for the Twins win because I'd like to feel better about my team since they constantly kicks our ass, but I am just so damn tired of rooting for a team that s***s the bed every time they make the playoffs.

It's not just you. They're putting play by play guys out there who haven't worked baseball the whole year.

 

You could put Vin Scully out there but if he hasn't worked more than a handful of games over 2 years and mainly has hosted basketball, he's going to stink.

I thought I would root for the Twins because of Thome but hell, he's not a relative of mine or anything. I just can't do it either. But I could see some people wanting Minnesota to win because of Thome. Thome has to be wondering WTF after the Twins played so well almost the entire second half (except their pathetic performance the week or so after clinching).
