I started reading Uni Watch Blog recently. Paul Lukas has a regular column on ESPN, but don't let that turn you off. His blog is a mountain of fun sports history and uniform tidbits info.

Recently, I took a part in their colorization challenge.

I was given an old, yellowed black and white photo. I was instructed on what things were supposed to look like colored, and I set about coloring it with my Photoshop.

Here's the original: http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5019/550056...bdb648290_o.jpg

Here's the colored version: http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5173/552097...0cdb87118_o.png

I'd say that it turned out pretty well. What do you think?

Paul Lukas loves to hate on the Sox' black socks though. He rated it as a Uni in desperate need of a makeover cause of that.

Anyway I like him otherwise.

Good job on the colorization, but it looks almost painted.

straightcashhomey.net is fun. Obviously a different type of site than uniwatch, but fun

I did another one. It will be up in a few days.

I think it will be popular with the Soxtalk crowd. :)

If you're my Facebook friend, you've already seen it!

It looks like to me. I actually kinda like that.

It is a neat concept, though I don't think I would want that as a full-time change. While it good as piping, that would make it the secondary color for marketing purposes, and I can already see those overblown gold hats, shirts, etc.
