I really don't worry about pitching results in Spring Training. The key today is that Jake threw 67 pitches and has velocity.

Yep in April they are hoping he can throw 70 pitches.....the retaining of velocity is key.

Yep. That is all that matters right now.

Milledge, nice homerun, but keep the helmet on until you cross homeplate. It's a dick move.

Alex Rios is swinging a sweet bat right now. Dude's ready.

I thought this last year. He had a pretty good season overall. But I want to see more consistency from him this year. He really tailed off in the second half last year. Even defensively. And there's no excuse at all for that.

Wasn't able to watch the game but it is FANTASTIC news that Jake was hitting 94 and that he threw 67!

I don't see how it's a dick move, unless it's just because it's not something you see players do.

It's a "look at me" thing. He's running down the 3rd base line, 30-40 feet from homeplate. What's the point of taking your helmet off there other than to show off?

Just cross homeplate, high five your teammates, and take the f***ing helmet off in the dugout.

I guess I'm just more easy going.
