Danks pulled in 2nd inning

Featured Replies

John Danks was just pulled in the 2nd inning.

He definitely points to his hip. What it is, hard to tell.

Good thing that they have the 6 man rotaton.

Presumably this is going to lead to Pena being recalled, but this is a terrible day for this to happen, 16 hours after inning 14 ended.

Yeah.

Is Lillibridge pitching today?

Yeah.

Bruney is back in and biting the bullet for now.

Sale might get a few innings in today as well. There could be some AAA transactions tonight for sure.

Maybe not even Pena, but Harrell who can give you five innings at a pop.

Jake Peavy is on tap to pitch the 5th inning today.

Almost certainly a 15 day DL visit then, could be longer.

I updated the title and first post.

Peavy's first career relief appearance.

If I had to bet, we see pair of moves then. Pena for Bruney, and Harrell for Danks.

A right oblique with a LHP...did he do something outside the norm of pitching as the right side should not be strained.

except for last night Bruney has been fine. Give him a day of rest and he will be fine

Pena serves no purpose for this team

Never ever.

He is also spent after the last two days and we need an arm.

If Danks is out for long, will the reliever we bring up within the next few days be replaced by Viciedo after the bullpen is rested/his arb date passes?

Pena reportedly still having pain, was shut down

I guess this six-man rotation keeps figuring itself out. Danks was just figuring it out and getting in the groove, that sucks

Harrell it is, then.

He doesn't need to stay down for 10 days since someone is going to the dl right?

Please no Lucas Harrell, but I realize there are only limited options.........

Oh that's right...

I'm guessing Infante then.
