Flipper down left field line to win a game vs Angels. The funny thing is that there's a puzzle of US Cellular that they sell that is from this game.

That actually was on Memorial Day of 2005, not July 4, IIRC. I was there in the scout seats that day. But nevertheless, maybe, maybe, maybe this could be the breakout of Adam Dunn, but I am not holding my breath.

Against K-Rod, right?

For some reason, I remember it being to RF. Who knows.

Shields, and I'm sure it was LF.

July 4, 2005....birth of Timo Perez

wrong year?

Good effort Alex. Is that 6 pitches, 4 outs?

damnit Fathom, that's 3 minutes of my life spent search wiki that I can't get back.

Dunn said that he felt better at the plate after yesterday's game despite going 0 for, gotta be encourage seeing him smash a 96 mph heater for a HR. So lets hope he heats up

Hold 'em, Sergio!!! 1-2-3 would be real sweet!!

Sorry...if it makes you feel better, google has pissed me off the last two days cause they no longer have the "realtime" function that lets you look up twitter updates on any name you enter.

Ugh, you have to be kidding me. Rios did not seem to get a very good leap there. It's a homer...thanks again for nothing Rios.

C'mon Rios.

Homer. Ball hit a railing over the yellow padding.

Hosmer crushed that ball.

Tie ballgame.

3rd blown save of the season.

Edited by caulfield12

Why oh why are you throwing first pitch fastball there?

damn it Rios almost had it

That was an easier play than the homer that Lillibridge robbed. Probably would have helped Rios if he actually sprinted back to the fence.

How about a walkoff?

Oh what am I saying. This team blows in extras.

The fact that it was hit extremely high into the air is what made it a towering home run, not the distance.

I've always considered a towering home run one that had height and distance, where it lands halfway up into the seats or more. Like Thome home runs.

I know what you're saying; last year I believe at Cubs/Sox at the Cell Soriano I think hit a realllly high pop-up where we literally watched the wind carry it out, otherwise it would have been a flyout.

Remember that this is the same Hawk that starts yelling STRETCH, STRETCH! only to have the OF catch it in front of the warning track, LOL.

Either way, good for Dunn. His struggles have given me no pleasure.

Well, that was fast. Sergio...your fastball is too hittable. Throw sliders!!

Nothing ever comes easily against the Royals for us.

Ugh. Had a great game story ready to go with Dunn and now it might be a footnote.

that was a good pitch by Santos as well outside corner fastball

Get up Thornton or Bruney.

Darn...and we know when Sergio is bad, he's awful.

The one to Hosmer was a meatball to a good fastball hitter.

Lillibridge catches that

that was a pretty decent backdoor slider, Pena just punched it out to LF
