He wears contacts (I would assume) when he pitches, I think he just needs to wear his glasses instead. I know for certain he wears glasses when he's not pitching.

Without seeing his games, teams are prob pitching away from him, and would not be surprised if he has chased a few bad pitches as a result.

I'm positive that's part of it. The fact that he's been getting so many walks is all the evidence you need for him getting pitched around.
