Jake deserves credit. I dunno how he only gave up four runs (oops he could be charged with five) with that stuff tonight.

It's either a.) he knows how to pitch. Or b.) It's Kansas City he was facin'

Yank JP.

"There's a shot what new".

If this was a classic Nintendo game, this inning Peavy would have been the pitcher who couldn't throw the ball hard and his drop pitch was no longer hitting the ground, but rather floating up to the plate while Peavy was sweating on the mound.

Last year and this year have seemed the same one extension of stupidity

And I'm sure in his next start against Texas, he'll complain that he pushed it too much tonight.

I think it'll happen.

This team has QUIT in September written all over it. A pathetic/give up finish will be the end of Oz for sure and hopefully Kenny.

The offense quit 2 months ago.

They were trying in June?

Why do I sense a Butler bomb?

Nice job Crain.

Hey, Butler didn't kill us!

The amount of pressure the Sox pitchers have had to pitch under this year is unbelievable. Crain knows that a hit here virtually ends the game because as Farmio put it so well lastnight "Royals up 2...feels like 10".

Nice play by Lillibridge, but where was Omar?

The pitching for this team has got to be demoralized watching this offense fail

Indeed, and I feel like we're beginning to see it take a toll on our starters (besides Buehrle). There was a 2 or 3 week stretch where our starters didn't throw a pitch in which we led by more than 3 runs.

KC has the 2nd worse pitching in the AL this year.

Again he is done and should not play after Sept 1

Everyone see it but Walker, OG , KW see no issue at all. :chair

This is why when people say the Sox starters should be more rested for the stretch run this year because we went 6-man for most of it I just shake my head. The amount of "pressure" pitches the guys have thrown this year is laughable.

There aren't many instances this season where the offense has bailed out one of our pitchers who made a mistake. Monday night in Baltimore was a VERY rare occurance.

Do a hit and run on the 3-1 count!

NO DP PK.

Needs to make Crow get the ball up in the zone.

I would go for a wild pitch followed by a balk right here....
