Not only was Thome a better hitter, he serves a purpose by being LH. I'm not discounting PK, but Frank, Belle and Thome were better hitters. They should all be HOF to me. If Puckett makes it, then Belle should too.

Ray durham was one of favorites growing up but I didn't really pay attention to stats or defense back then. Looking at his stats now, he looks like the far superior player to me.

 

Is there a reason you'd take cora over him?

 

Actually iguchi would probably be better too. I'm not trying to criticize. I just don't get what cora brings.

Ok I'm bored and coming from the other thread about mark about all time pitchers. Ok now there's a catch, players you've seen(in person, tv, whatever) example I was born in 1975 so I'll be talking about players anywhere from 80-81 on, give it a 5-6 year period, so if you were born in 85 don't talk about dick Allen.. Ohh and only one choice you can maybe do a split for one player, can't go agh DH Thomas/Franco and third crede/Ventura, can only do this once... Make a 25 man roster

Lol, yeah. I didn't really commit between 'random/obscure' and 'historically bad,' so I got a mix of both. I really have nothing but good memories of ol' Kark, for example.

I'd put Ray ahead of Cora by a lot. For a guy who's now a coach, Cora made a lot of dumb mistakes here. He got better over time and had his best years in Seattle, but I pretty much hated him for most of his stay here.
