March 12, 201214 yr Author According to FOX Sports' Jon Paul Morosi, the Blue Jays remain in pursuit of Gavin Floyd. A source told Morosi that the Jays have been talking to the White Sox about acquiring Floyd since spring training opened, and remain in contact here in mid-March. The 28-year-old righty posted a 4.37 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 193 2/3 innings last season. He's owed $7.5 million in 2012 and carries a $9.5 million club option for 2013.
March 12, 201214 yr Yawn. Not going to happen. Sox aren't breaking up their rotation in spring training unless some rookie steps up and dominates, and none of the candidates have done anything close to doing so. Talk to us again in June.
March 12, 201214 yr I had to delete my first response. I hope this organization wakes up before we become to Toronto what the old KC A's were for the Yankess. A farm club selling off its best players to survive. Edited March 12, 201214 yr by elrockinMT

March 12, 201214 yr KW probably has a pretty decent idea what Floyd would bring in a trade next offseason after shopping Danks this past winter. I think he'll trade him now if the price is right.
March 13, 201214 yr Just read that Chris Carpenter has bulging disc . . . I know the Sox probably won't trade Gavin until the deadline, if at all - But there is another possible destination. St. Louis Cardinals eye 'Plan B'

March 14, 201214 yr QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 12, 2012 -> 06:42 PM) KW probably has a pretty decent idea what Floyd would bring in a trade next offseason after shopping Danks this past winter. I think he'll trade him now if the price is right. Hopefully that trading done by someone other than Williams
March 15, 201214 yr Don't really have much confidence in KW getting a great deal from AA... but if he can then why not.
