Kentucky probably wins this one, but I don't think it'll be a rout like some believe it will be. Withey and Robinson will make it tougher for Kentucky to get the easy buckets in the paint, IMO. I say Kentucky by 11 or so, because of some late FT's.

I really hope Calipari goes to the Knicks now. Kentucky getting so many of the top prospects has killed the tournament the last few years.

Kentucky can be beaten, but KU needs to play 20 minutes of half court grind basketball. UK doesnt really love half court, they kind of just stand around.

He's not going anywhere. He's getting NBA money to coach NBA talent at UK. At this point he doesn't even have to buy talent anymore. He has become the NBA factory. Kids know they can show up, not worry about going to class, and be on TV every game.

 

I am amazed at how hard he gets these kids to play. Coach K and Calipari are the only two elite coaches I can say that about.

If kansas can get it to a 3 possession game with about 3 minutes left anything can happen. Kentucky's shooting has drastically fallen off and they are stagnant in the half court.

It's really too bad Ohio St. couldn't have beat Kansas. Much more likely this would have been a closer game.

2011 OSU maybe, 2012 not so much. You need to have very good outside shooting to beat UK (IU did). KU doesnt have that and its being exposed. Diebler and Lighty could have given them a good run if they didnt choke like last year.

They should allow kids to jump to the NBA again or make a 2 year rule. One and done players are talented but it really dilutes the rest of the game. Remember how good Duke was with 4 year players?

Kentucky hit 35-37 FT's against IU. Not a strategy that works against them. Memphis 2008 they are not.

I guess there is a small amount of satisfaction that IU gave them their toughest game of the tournament, scores notwithstanding.

Yeah, I'm with you. I don't see why Kentucky winning makes the rule a joke. Did the Fab 5 make college basketball a joke? Recruit a ton of HS All-Americans and you'll have a chance to win. No joke there.
