Kenny is arrogant...but you have to love his celebration of Castro Day with this acquisition.

It has to be. It can't be just a coincidence on the very same day.......I'm not a KW man but I think its brilliant.

amen.

take that, Number 13.

I saw that move, but I didn't even put 2 and 2 together. Hahaha, hilarious Kenny. That is brilliant.

The extent of Kenny's celebration should have been (a) watching Ozzie leave, and( b) getting to choose your own guy to replace him.

I don't think the McCarthyism in Miami was the inspiration for this because it probably wouldn't reflect well on Kenny or the organization if word got out that it was. The circus is gone- time to move on. Wasn't moving on a concept that was touched upon during the back and forth with Frank Thomas in 2006?

This is genius.

It seems more like the kind of thing Cowley would come up with, rather than an actual major league baseball team, although you never know with Williams. He's never shown a penchant for letting by-gones be by-gones.

I would have to think that having the name Castro had to have been, at the very least, a small part of making this deal. As someone else has mentioned, this could come back and make K. W. look very petty if word got out that this was true, especially if it was the main reason.

I think it is much more likely that a deal for another infielder as a back up in the minors was already talked about, especially after, was it Martinez, had 4 errors in one game recently. It could be that they already had Castro in mind before all of this broke loose and Kenny decided that this would be the perfect day to consumate this deal. Maybe they had a few minor league infielders in mind, trying to decide which one to pull the trigger on, and having the name Castro made up K. W.'s mind as just an added bonus in making the deal without it even being on his mind originally.

I also think Escobar earned a spot on the big league team so Charlotte needed another IF.

There is no way Kenny did it on purpose, but at the same time, I would bet the Stanford boy got a smirk out of the deal.

Maybe he'd be good enough to take Beckham's place when he is sent down to shorten his swing.

He's pretty much a non prospect organization filler. I think it is a dig and its a lot funnier than anything out of Ozzie's mouth in a while.
