Axelrod's ERA down to 1.08, went 7.2 innings, 1 BB, 4 hits, 6 K's. Bruney gets his 4th save. Kuhn, D2, and Gallagher with 2 hit days. Danks with a double in there, Gallagher with a triple.

Axelrod is really dominating in AAA. 26 K to 4 BB on the year. That's the kind of stats that get you promoted. Not that the Sox need another SP and I don't want him in the bullpen, but you can never have enough pitching.

Well, like they said earlier there's a May 7 double-header, and if people are being moved around, Stewart isn't really getting any use and hasn't been effective so far.

8 IP, 6 hits, 2 ER, 1 BB, 4 K's for Castro, ERA down to 3.75, leaves the game tied at 2. Scoreless ninth for Remenowsky.

Remenowsky gives up a couple in the 10th.

Gotta like what's happening with some of the starting pitching--Castro, Quintana, Molina, and Axelrod all could help at some point this season.

some of these young guys keep dealing and it's time to deal floyd for a bat.

It's funny because Castro and Molina really struggled in the first start or two a piece, but since then they've settled in nicely.

Axelrod (or Terry Doyle) are the only near-MLB ready pitchers. Castro and Molina will not be ready in 2012.

Agree on Molina, but Castro could come fast and is much more seasoned.

Has anyone heard or seen his fastball readings in the games he's been pitching so far?

Keenyn Walker with a 5 game hitting streak. Hasn't struck out in 3 straight games either.

Any idea if his slot lines up with May 7?
