I'll take Quintana over Floyd. DL Floyd or something with some mysterious arm ailment.

Fine by me.

I can't complain about a ton of things with the Sox this year, but for the life of me, I do not understand Robin's fascination with Will Ohman.

Ohman is the only pitcher that is worse than Floyd at this point.

Never understood how giving up a home run makes you a p****

In fact, more often than not, it makes you the opposite of a p****. It takes guts to throw a fastball down the heart of the plate.

He gets lefties out. Everyone on Seattle is left handed.

Our other LHP are not that good against lefties

Gavin gets curveballs over early in the AB to lefites = good

Misses early with fastballs = bad

He needs to ditch the slide step. I'd rather he let the base runners run wild and focus more on getting more on his pitches.

Why would you go with Ohman over Santiago?

Doesn't make sense.

Santiago can go 2-3 innings if he has to, Ohman can't.

And mid 90's heat against their top four hitters (Montero's the one to watch out for, quiet so far)...is what they need more than high 87-91 MPH.

Even the worst of pitchers shouldn't be getting absolutely tattoo'd like this...4 homers in 4 innings. And the thing is, it's not like Gavin even has THAT bad of stuff today.

The ball park is lively today. :lolhitting

Gavin mows guys down after giving up the bombs...maybe start the inning being effective.

Ohman at least would get to face lefties.

Time to tie it up this inning

3 of the 4 Seattle homers would have been gone regardless of jet stream

The funny thing is that in San Diego at least 2 of these HR's don't go out. He'd love pitching in a pitcher's park

Floyd with 4 good quality innings so far (I'm trying to be positive). :gosox1:

Thankfully Jaso got thrown out or it would be a 3 run lead.

You can't really blame Ventura 100% there, you have to try to get at least 4 innings from your starter....and the game was tied for the 2nd time.

If ever there's a game that was meant to go to the Mariners, it's probably this one. But we're still just one big swing away from the lead or a tie game.

I think....the ballpark is lively

RIOS!!!

God that feels good to say.

WELCOME BACK BUDDY!

There's going to be more than 10 homers in this game.

Shades of 2000.

RIOS!

ALEX!

HR galore!

Sox are undefeated when hitting 2+ HR in the game.

I don't care how good our offense has been looking, we will not win anything with the way Danks & Floyd have pitched this year. They are huge to this team (unless we go out & grab a starter on the market)

RIOS!!!!!

These guys just don't want the streak to end...

Get on board Gavin.

I'm not worried about Danks, honestly.

When Gavin gets beaten up by a RH lineup I'll start getting nervous.

Alexei is due for a solo shot.

5-4
