So it will be interesting to see if Matt Thornton plays tonight, might give light to if he is part of any trade for Youkilis

Another frustrating thing is that many teams play Aramis right up the middle. If the Sox did a simple shift, that would have been an easy out to start the inning.

Guys like Will Ohman have to be able to get outs in 6th, you don't want Nate Jones pitching in the 6th on a regular basis. Starter needs to make it or else you're choosing between Ohman and Santiago

Jones has been overused and normally that would have been a Brian Bruney/Zach Stewart appearance, but I don't believe them to be available.

 

I think Jones needs some protecting, ie getting to start his own innings until he gets his game going
