June 29, 201213 yr Ozzie either misplaced the LOOGY manual and directions that came in the box with Ohman, or they weren't written in Spanish. And apparently, Robin never ordered a replacement copy of that manual.
June 29, 201213 yr Is it Will Ohman fault the Sox couldn't afford to use him strictly as a LOOGY ? With so many young arms that need rest Ohman was used out of his comfort zone. He still held lefties to a .186 avg. He will be picked up by someone who will use him the right(left) way.
June 29, 201213 yr With some of the awful pens around baseball, any chance we get a low level guy for him?
June 29, 201213 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 08:59 AM) With some of the awful pens around baseball, any chance we get a low level guy for him? Trading for him or claiming him is also the difference between paying him ~$200k for the rest of the year and $1.25 mil ($2.5 mil this year, prorated for 1/2 the season).
June 29, 201213 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 08:02 AM) Trading for him or claiming him is also the difference between paying him ~$200k for the rest of the year and $1.25 mil ($2.5 mil this year, prorated for 1/2 the season). I know that. I also know that someone like Cleveland has had a miserable middle of the bullpen and could use a guy, even a specialist.
June 29, 201213 yr QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 06:41 AM) And apparently, Robin never ordered a replacement copy of that manual. Again, Ohman faced a higher percentage of LH hitters this year than any other year in his career. While it would have been ideal Ohman never face RH hitters, it was not practical, except if he was taken off the roster. Edited June 29, 201213 yr by Dick Allen
